1. Policy Statement
The School of Trauma Release is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all learners, trainers, and team members. We recognise that safeguarding, wellbeing, and transparent complaints handling are essential to delivering a high-quality learning experience.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all students, trainers, assessors, mentors, and administrative staff involved with the School of Trauma Release, as well as visiting guest facilitators.

4. Safeguarding Commitment
We are dedicated to promoting wellbeing, safety, and professionalism. Concerns are taken seriously, and support will be provided to any learner experiencing personal or professional difficulties.
5. Complaints Procedure
Step 1: Informal Resolution – raise the issue with your trainer or relevant person directly.
Step 2: Formal Resolution – escalate to the Safeguarding Officer (Judith Hart), who will log and investigate.
Step 3: Independent Review – if unresolved, refer to Jane Palmer – My Space Counselling.
Step 4: External Escalation – if still unresolved, contact IPHM (www.iphm.co.uk).
6. Confidentiality
All complaints and safeguarding reports are treated confidentially and shared only on a need-to-know basis. Records are stored securely in line with GDPR.
7. Boundaries & Professional Conduct
All trainers and students must maintain professional boundaries. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or abuse of any kind will not be tolerated.
8. Reporting Safeguarding Concerns
Report concerns immediately to the Safeguarding Officer. In an emergency or immediate risk, contact emergency services (999 UK) first, then notify the Safeguarding Officer.

10. Record Keeping
All complaints and safeguarding records are securely stored for a minimum of seven (7) years.

Students and staff can raise concerns about unsafe or unethical conduct without fear of repercussions. All disclosures will be handled confidentially.
12. Feedback & Continuous Improvement
Learners submitting case studies or assessments are invited to give feedback. All feedback is reviewed for continual improvement of our training and safeguarding processes.
13. Policy Review
This policy is reviewed annually by the Safeguarding Officer and Course Lead to ensure accuracy and relevance.
